Kalycito wins D.L. Shah Quality Award for its product eAlerta in GOLD category from the Quality Council of India (QCI) in the 10th National Quality Conclave held at New Delhi on 07-August-2015.

Quality Council of India (QCI) a Govt. of India entity run in association with Indian Industry represented by the three premier industry associations - ASSOCHAM, CII and FICCI. The Award recognizes successful projects (in the form of case studies) of an organization that have resulted in continuous improvement of products and/or services, better and effective operations as well as increased customers/stakeholders satisfaction.

Kalycito is proud that QCI has recognized the technology breakthroughs achieved to make eAlerta an affordable solution that comprehensively addresses the Indian SME needs for operations, maintenance and energy monitoring at the price of a smart phone and data plan.

NASSCOM’s Centre of Excellence for Internet of Things organised the first edition of CoE-IoT connect programme partnering with Forge Accelerator on 19-March-2016 in Coimbatore, India. Kamalakannan - COO & Founding Director of Kalycito participated as a member in the panel discussion on "Building an Innovation Hub in Coimbatore for Industrial Internet". The main focus of the Centre of Excellence is to connect the dots in agriculture, water, energy, transportation, education, and healthcare through IoT. In Coimbatore, the focus is on the manufacturing sectors to help them highlight the issues they face and to find solutions to make their products better.

POWERLINK masters achieve extreme performance numbers at lower cost point with Intel Ethernet Controller I210:

POWERLINK masters can achieve very high performance at a lower cost point than ever with the Intel Ethernet Controller I210. Eliminating the requirement for proprietary network controllers allows a typical low-cost Industrial PC to be used as a POWERLINK master for systems implementing motion control or high-speed drives. Industrial PCs based on Intel® processors take advantage of continuing advances in performance and energy efficiency while also benefiting from the broad ecosystem of development tools available for Intel® architecture-based systems.

31-Oct-2012: Kalycito is happy to share the news that we have been empanelled into the list of ESCOs (Energy Service Companies) maintained by Bureau of Energy Efficiency - a statutory body under Ministry of Power, Government of India. Apart from enabling the ESCO to get empaneled with BEE, the grading also helps the ESCO to enhance its market credibility, market position as well as bid for energy savings projects in the central, state government and municipal sector.

ESCOs are entities engaged in performance based contract with a client firm to implement measures which reduce energy consumption and costs in a technically and financially viable manner. ESCOs are required to be empaneled with Bureau of Energy Efficiency(BEE) to be part of BEE’s efforts to promote energy conservation measures as well as bid for energy savings projects in the central, state government and municipal sector.

 

Ethernet Powerlink is highest National Standard in China

On March 7, 2012, the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) presented the specification of the POWERLINK communication profile as the national standard GB/T 27960-2011. This makes POWERLINK the only industrial Ethernet protocol to comply with the highest authorized standardization level for communication technologies in China.

As a Chinese recommended industrial standard, GB/T must meet several requirements. It must be fully open technology, widely used and standard technology in the world and not subject to any country or company. POWERLINKs Open Source strategy contributed substantially to the required acceptance by local component manufacturers. There also needs to be a test and certification institution in China, which opened in 2011. Of the more than 80 renowned member companies in various industries of the Ethernet POWERLINK Association China, more than 15 already supply products with a POWERLINK interface, 30 more are under development.

“This turns POWERLINK into a unique selling point and success factor in China for export-oriented manufacturers of production machinery and components“, Stefan Schönegger, Managing Director of the EPSG, points out an important aspect of this standardization. “It shows that due to the path of pervasive openness we have been following, in many countries POWERLINK is the only technology that can fulfill expectations“. Schönegger is also convinced that this decision will have ground-breaking effects on the Chinese plant construction industry as well.
