1 September 2017 – A total of 877 models by school and college students were on display at the 16th Open House Exhibition on Science and Technology at Kongu Engineering College in Perundurai here on Wednesday.

As many as 44 schools from seven educational districts of Erode, Gobichettipalayam, Dharapuram, Namakkal, Tiruchengodu, Sankari and Tirupur exhibited 749 models on various topics at the exhibition. Students of the college also distributed 128 models on various topics.

The exhibitions were held at six venues and were inaugurated by Harish N. Nachnani, National Sales Manager – Didactic, Festo India Private Limited, Bengaluru, S. Palanivel, Executive Member, Erode District Small Industries Association, Bhagath Singh Karunakaran, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Kalycito Infotech Private Limited, Coimbatore, K. Sarkariappan, vice-president, Sakthi Auto Component Limited, Tirupur and R. Palaniswamy, General Manager – Corporate HR, Suguna Foods Limited, Coimbatore.

Organisers said that best projects will be selected and certificates will be issued during the Founder’s Day celebrations on September 1.

Also, the best projects will be sent for getting patents and also be displayed in the next year’s INTEC Expo at CODESIA, Coimbatore.

The exhibition will be opened for public on September 1.
